Andrew + Nadine’s Amazing Wedding at Stirling Castle

We don’t often get through to Stirling to capture weddings so when Nadine and Andrew invited us along to film their wedding in Stirling Castle, we were rather chuffed. I was looking forward to the day anyway, but when it turned out to be such a lovely, warm day and I found out we were going to be having an outdoor ceremony… well, that just topped it all off!

Time to rewind a bit though. I started off my morning by visiting Nadine and her pals as they got ready for the day ahead. Wedding mornings are always so much fun as the excitement and anticipation build and it’s no exaggeration to say that they whizz by in the blink of an eye. With that said it was time for me to head off to Stirling Castle to catch up with Andrew.

I arrived at the castle just as the Queen Anne gardens was being prepared for the ceremony. Soon enough Andrew arrived and began greeting all their guests as they all took to their seats for the wedding. The castle is obviously a tad quieter than usual but the arrival of Nadine and the marriage ceremony still drew a crowd who watched on from the bridges above.

After a really lovely ceremony by Norrie Flowers, Nadine and Andrew had plenty of time to enjoy the gardens and the castle grounds before heading down the road to the Golden Lion for the rest of their celebrations. Before dinner was served, we were treated to the speeches, and I must say I really enjoyed them all, just a perfect blend of sincerity and humour.

After such an eventful day all that was left to do was celebrate it in style on the dancefloor. And Nadine, Andrew, and all of their guests are clearly no strangers to throwing mad shapes as they kept the floor jumping all night.
