ALENA & FINLAY’S MAGICAL WEDDING AT HOUSE FOR AN ART LOVER

Alena and Finlay were married just a few weeks ago at a couple of our very favourite wedding venues in Glasgow, the spectacular St. Andrews Cathedral and the wonderful House for an Art lover!

We were both filming and photographing for this celebration, so we both head over to see the girls in the morning. There was a good buzz about the place with both Finlay and Alena’s families getting ready at the same time. It’s a good opportunity for a bit of bonding in the morning before the big day ahead. We were certainly enjoying ourselves, and came away from the morning with loads of great footage and photos!

We soon had to head down to the cathedral to set up for the main event, so we set off in our cars into the hot day. Seriously, thank goodness for air-conditioning as it was already getting very hot by this time! Happily, St Andrews is also nice and cool on the inside, no matter how sweltering it is outside, so we were all really comfortable throughout what was a lovely mass and ceremony.

To be honest, by the time we all emerged blinking in to the sunshine outside the cathedral, it was absolutely scorching, so after briefly congratulating the happy couple all the guests headed right along to the reception venue where they could find some shelter and an ice cool glass of prosecco waiting their arrival. We were able to find some nice shaded spots to get some pictures and film of the newlyweds, while the assembled guests enjoyed the balcony off the main hall at the house.

Of course, no wedding would be complete without a big feast, not to mention some speeches! When the time came Alena’s father had recorded a special speech for the happy couple as he was not able to attend. It was a lovely moment and both Alena and a good few of the guests shed a little tear as they heard his wishes and advice for the two of them.

In a wonderful tun of events it was starting to cool down by the time dinner had finished, so we were able to sneak out with Alena and Finlay for a couple more shots in the late evening sun. We were really lucky to get out at just the right moment so we got a whole bunch of lovely shots in the best light of the day.

What a smashing day, and what an awesome couple! We hope you enjoy all the pictures and film as much as we enjoyed making them for you both!
