Meet Ewan & Chris
Chris and Ewan first crossed paths in Glasgow back in 2009, both fresh out of photography college with more enthusiasm than sense. Fifteen years and 400+ weddings later, they’re still here – covering both photo and video as a team, which either makes them brilliant or very stubborn.
“All our guests commented on what lovely guys they were.”
— R&C
Chris
Chris bounced around careers like a pinball – cooking, sound engineering – before photography finally stuck. Originally from Banchory, he studied at City of Glasgow College then worked in the glamorous world of PR and advertising before we started Top Table.
He now lives in Alloa with his Greek wife Stef and their elderly black cat. When he’s not behind a camera, Chris is either hiking and photographing in the Mountains of Scotland, fixing (or breaking) old cars in his workshop, or maintaining his frankly obsessive 1400-day Duolingo streak.
His retirement plan involves somewhere sunny and significantly fewer Scottish winters.
Ewan
Ewan tried everything at college – furniture making, product design, probably underwater basket weaving (noticing a pattern here?) – before realising photography had been right under his nose the whole time. A Glasgow School of Art graduate who probably should have trusted his instincts sooner.
He lives in a cottage in Strathaven with his wife Jenni and two cats named after Adventure Time characters (because apparently that’s what happens when you grow up). The cottage is his never-ending DIY project, which keeps him busy between cycling, paddleboarding, and losing golf balls in places physics says they shouldn’t exist.
“Two very talented and lovely guys who made us and our guests feel completely at ease.” – V+A
Why we love what we do
Being invited to document someone’s wedding day is a proper privilege. We don’t take that lightly – even if we do take ourselves less seriously than most photographers.
Every couple has their own story, their own way of celebrating, their own family dynamics (some more entertaining than others). After 400+ weddings, we’ve seen it all and genuinely love capturing each unique celebration.
Plus, we’ve collected some cracking stories along the way – though we’re far too discreet to share them!
Q&A
You’ve got questions, and hopefully, we’ve got the answers here. But if we don’t, just give us a shout.
