  We had Top Table at our wedding doing our photography and videography. To say that these guys have done a stellar job would be an understatement. Ewan and Chris went above and beyond on our day when certain things didn’t go to plan. We had photos being taken at botanic gardens and the car we had hired broke down meaning we couldn’t get back to our wedding venue. Ewan and Chris kindly gave us a lift back meaning we didn’t lose any time.

The turnaround on receiving our pictures and videos have been amazing. We woke up the next day after our wedding to already having received 20 sneak peeks from our big day. We then received all of our wedding photos no less than 3 weeks later whilst still on our honeymoon which was another amazing feeling. The quality and the detail of the photos are unmatched. The real standout however is our highlights video. The attention to detail and they caught everything exactly how we imagined it and more. I have heard stories about some people waiting almost a year to get their video back but we have ours back after 1 month of being married.

If you are thinking of getting a photographer and videographer choose Top Table. We both couldn’t recommend Ewan and Chris enough.

  These guys were AMAZING! They were so responsive from the first time we enquired all the way up until our wedding! We had to move our day a few times due to covid and they could not have been more understanding or flexible. They really took an interest what we wanted from our pictures. The photos we have received are phenomenal. They just blended into our day whilst still getting every shot we wanted and the most beautiful candid moments! I don’t know how they do it!   Chris and Ewan were nothing short of amazing from the moment we booked them. We could not have asked for anything more from them both. Slipping in and our of rooms practically unnoticed to get the perfect natural pictures. They were so great working with what we wanted as well as what they knew was best. Even working with the lack of light they just made everything so easy.

On top of all of that their photos are absolutely stunning we can't pick our favourite!

  I would highly recommend Top Table Photography. They were very professional and easy to work with. We had Chris for our wedding in September and he really captured the atmosphere and vibe of the day. He really put the effort to doing the best job possible, whilst blending in and not being intrusive. As a result we have lots of great pictures of us and our guests looking relaxed and enjoying the day. We got a sneak peak of select photos within days and then the entire collection on a USB stick within a month.   Chris and Ewan were extremely professional and easy to work with, even from a distance, from the very beginning.  On our wedding day, they arrived early and began taking pictures right away. They covered everything we wanted and even more than we expected with the wonderful candids.  Their pictures really captured every moment and the feel of our day. You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers… hopefully… and if we don’t, just give us a shout.

How many photographers will capture our wedding?

You can choose between hiring one photographer or two.
Should you opt for one wedding photographer then either Chris or Ewan will be there to photograph your wedding day.
If booking two, Ewan and Chris will photograph your big day, ensuring you have the services of two professional wedding Photographers in Edinburgh, Glasgow and throughout Scotland, from beginning to end. This also means one of us can visit the groom in the morning while the other photographs the bride.

How many filmmakers will capture our wedding?

When choosing our photographer + Filmmaker package, Chris and Ewan will document your day.
One of us will be your photographer for the day and the other will be your friendly neighbourhood filmmaker

How long do you stay on the day?

We stay from as early as you would like till as late as you require. We don’t believe in charging by the hour for our services, so you can rest assured – when you book with us, you have us for the whole day. We don’t leave until we’re sure we’ve done a great job.

How many pictures do you take, must be millions!?

Typically we make up to 1000 images throughout the day. However not all of these will pass our strict quality control process, and some are shot from different angles and with differing styles. We will edit these down to include only the best images of your entire day.

How long will our Highlights Film be?

Each film is edited to reflect the pace and feel of your wedding day so the exact length can vary. That said, our films tend to range from 10-15 minutes in length.

How long are your Full-day Films?

The total length of your full-day film is mainly dictated by the duration of your ceremony and speeches. For that reason our films will typically last anywhere between 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes.

How Long will it be till we can see our wedding photos?

We aim to have your photos online in a private gallery within three weeks of your big day. If you’re going on honeymoon they’ll most likely be ready for you to see when you get back!

How long does it take to get our wedding film?

Your Highlights Film will be ready within 5 weeks, and if you’ve gone for one, your Full-day Film will be ready in 8 weeks.

Can our families and pals view and purchase pictures?

Of course, all they need is the password to your gallery(which we always ensure you have first). Then they can view and buy all sorts of things; from prints and frames to mugs and canvases.

Do we got a copy of all the pictures and films?

Yes! All of our packages include a USB of all your photographs and film, supplied in a beautiful presentation case, for you to share and print to your heart’s desire.

Can I print the pictures myself?

Yes! Not only can you print and share all the images you will receive, but we can recommend some great printing services that will do justice to your wedding photographs.

Are you insured?

Absolutely. We have full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance, ensuring you complete peace of mind on your most important day.

Do you have backup cameras, in case the worst happens?

Very much so. Between us we carry no fewer than four complete professional camera systems on your big day. We also carry backup lighting, lenses, batteries and memory. We come fully prepared.

What if it rains on our big day?

We’ll get wet! Seriously, though, Working as wedding photographers in Scotland, it’s an occupational hazard! There’s pretty much no weather situation that would stop us or our gear from working – often what seems like less than perfect weather can actually help us produce much more dramatic photographs!

Do you need fed on the day of the wedding?

We wouldn’t dream of asking you to feed us, however, we will happily eat if there is a spare meal or two offered to us! Failing that we usually just grab something from the bar. Not naming any names, but if you do decide to provide us with a meal then one of us is vegetarian. (It’s not Chris!)

Do you charge travel expenses?

Inside the central-belt area of Scotland, such as Glasgow and Edinburgh, we charge nothing. For weddings further-afield, there may be the need to charge a travel expense, and for weddings that are really far away we may need to charge for an overnight stay. Any applicable expenses will be charged at cost price and agreed in advance with yourselves, so there are no surprises.

We really love what we see, how do we book?

All you need to do to secure your date is to get in touch and we’ll send you a booking form. Once you’ve filled that in and paid a £300 deposit that’s you all booked up!

Can you provisionally hold our day?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to hold dates without a booking form and deposit, as we tend to book up a year or two (or even three!) in advance.
