CLAIRE + JOHN’S FAB WEDDING AT INGLISTON COUNTRY CLUB
Claire and John, like so many couples over the last year and a half, had to face a few changes to their wedding plans. There’s nothing like a change of venue and a couple of rescheduled dates to make you wedding day that extra bit special when it eventually happens – and John and Claire most definitely enjoyed their big day!
We started off the day by visiting Claire and John in their separate houses as they got prepared for the wedding day ahead. Photographing a wedding day right from the beginning really allows the wedding photos to show all the emotions from the nerves in the morning right through to the joyous dancing in the evening. Of course, there’s always time for the guys to have a kick-about in the morning too 🙂
The wedding ceremony was held in St Mirin’s Cathedral in Paisley. It’s an absolutely gorgeous big old church and was definitely the ideal setting for John and Claire to tie the knot and make it official!
Before long it was time to head off to Ingliston Country Club for the wedding reception. It was a lovely, sunny day so all of the wedding guests were able to make use of the lovely courtyard to indulge in some canapés and a glass of the fizzy stuff. Meanwhile we snuck off with Claire and John down to the wee lake to get some beautiful wedding photographs of them spending time together.
The speeches are always a highlight for us on a wedding day as it’s great to hear a little bit of the couple’s backstory, it was also great to hear the tale behind John’s proposal!
It’d been so long since this group of friends had got together that the dancing was always going to be another highlight of the day. Some serious shapes were being thrown, that’s for sure! It was also great to see some familiar faces (Pamela and Graeme) enjoying themselves on the dance floor, how can it have been so long since their wedding day?!
