Oran Mor – Glasgow
Claire and Craig, like so many couples, found their wedding plans thrown into disarray last year. However, after a couple of reshuffles, they got the big day back on track and had an absolutely amazing wedding day in the ever beautiful Oran Mor in Glasgow.

We started our day as we so often do on a wedding day by heading separately to visit Claire and the girls and Craig and the boys. Wedding mornings are always great fun to photograph as the excitement builds, outfits are gotten into, and a cheeky wee glass or two of fizz are enjoyed. There’s such a range of emotions it’s always a real joy to photograph.

Craig and Claire had booked Oran Mor for their wedding ceremony and reception. It’s definitely one of our favourite wedding venues in Glasgow, as not only is the building easy on the eye, it’s right in the heart of the West end so makes an ideal base to get great photos nearby. They had opted for a humanist ceremony which always makes for such a lovely and personal service.

After Claire and Craig had tied the knot we headed down towards Ashton lane for a few wedding photographs of the happy couple. Whilst doing a whistle-stop tour of Byres road, the Western baths, and Ruthven lane, the newlyweds were gleefully cheered on by all the happy Glaswegians partaking in a refreshing beverage. On the way back to Oran Mor it seemed only right to grab a photo outside Greggs – it would’ve been rude not to!

Next was time for the speeches and we were treated to loads of lovely video messages from friends and family who unfortunately couldn’t make it to share in the day. After that, we were regaled with stories from Claire and Craig’s lives and what led to this special day. All that was left of the formalities after dinner was the first dance, and it’s really great to see couples being able to share this special moment again.

Congratulations Claire and Craig, we loved photographing your wedding day, thanks so much for having us along 🙂
