LUCY + SCOTT’S BEAUTIFUL WEDDING AT CORNHILL CASTLE

Glasgow University + Cornhill Castle
27/06/2021
Lucy and Scott chose two of our favourite wedding venues for their big day. Glasgow University Chapel was the location for the ceremony before heading down the road and into the South Lanarkshire countryside to celebrate the rest of the day at Cornhill Castle.

I’m getting ahead of myself though. Wedding days usually start with a visit to the bride’s house in the morning so we headed along to Lucy’s first thing to photograph all the preparations for the day ahead before moving onto Glasgow Uni to grab some photos of Scott and the guests arriving.

The ceremony was really lovely and made all the more personal as it was co-conducted by Lucy’s Godfather – a really nice touch for a wedding day!

Everyone soon headed out into the grounds of Glasgow Uni to enjoy the sunshine and congratulate the newlyweds. In such a historic venue we were really keen to spend some time with Lucy and Scott in a few locations to get some great wedding photos.

We haven’t been down to Cornhill Castle for quite a while so it was great to be back at such a lovely wedding venue for the rest of Scott and Lucy’s celebrations. Wedding days tend to go by in a flash, but we found there was a nice, relaxed pace to the day so we had plenty of time to grab a few more photos before everyone headed in for dinner.

Speeches are fantastic (if a little nerve-wracking for those giving them) as they give all the guests a little look into the stories of what led to Lucy and Scott tying the knot. It’s always really nice to hear from grooms declaring their love for their new wife, and Scott certainly delivered.

We absolutely loved photographing your wedding day, guys, thanks so much for having us along. We hope you love your photos and mini-movie as much as we do 🙂
