There are loads of great places to have a wedding in Glasgow, and we reckon Oran Mor is right up there as one of the best. The converted church building is a wedding photographer’s dream and it’s right in the heart of the West End so it’s fab for getting great wedding photographs with a city vibe as well as using the green space of the Botanics across the road. So, naturally, we were delighted when Stephanie and Callum asked us along to photograph their big day in Oran Mor!

My day started as I went along to Oran Mor about an hour before the wedding ceremony to get some photographs of Callum and his groomsmen welcoming their guests for the day ahead. After getting plenty of shots of a nervously excited Callum it was time to head over to the Hilton Grosvenor to get a few photographs with Stephanie before she made the short trip over Byres Road to tie the knot. Callum and Stephanie had opted for a humanist wedding ceremony which meant the nuptials were nice and personal, and of course, relaxed and chilled out – just the way we like it.

Before dinner were the traditional speeches, and it’s always lovely to hear all the stories from throughout a couple’s lives. After dinner, the last remaining formal parts of the day were the cake cutting and the first dance. Both were great fun and Callum and Stephanie’s dance moves went down a treat with their guests, so much so they even did an encore 🙂
