we love boclair house hotel so when andrew and rhiannon invited me along to photograph their big day i was naturally delighted. boclair is right in the heart of bearsden but it feels so private as it’s set in off the road in such a beautiful old sandstone building.

I knew as soon as I arrived in the morning to say hello to Rhiannon that I was in for a down to earth wedding day. The girls were just chilling without the usual fanfare that can come with a wedding morning so it’s safe to say there was definitely a laid back atmosphere.

Of course, wedding mornings always whizz by in the blink of an eye so before long it was time to head downstairs and grab some photos of Andrew and all of their guests as they arrived and got settled in the bar shortly before the wedding ceremony.

Onto the main event, the wedding ceremony. I think it’s the part of the day that couples are often most nervous about but the part that can be the most emotional and meaningful as they make their pledges to one another. It’s always a real privilige to photograph and Rhiannon and Andrew’s wedding was no exception, I really enjoyed photographing them tying the knot.

It may have been January but that didn’t stop Andrew and Rhiannon joining me outside for a stroll around the grounds to get some cracking wedding photos of them as newlyweds. I always enjoy this time as I get to have a good chat while we create some beautiful wedding photographs which will hopefully be cherished for a lifetime.

After the speeches and dinner, the Sleekit Beasties kept the dance floor packed for the rest of the night as everyone enjoyed a good old ceilidh.
