AILEEN & NIALL’S BRAW WEDDING!
Autumn is upon us here at Top Table Photography, and it’s our favourite season of the year for wedding photography! Weren’t we lucky then, to be invited along to photograph the wedding of Aileen and Niall at the fantastic Sherbrooke Castle!?
We were excited to arrive at the girl’s house in the morning to see all the preparations happening, and when we got there, there was a real buzz about the place with everyone getting hair and makeup all done up for the big day ahead. It’s always good to be photographing at this time of the day, we reckon, as it really helps tell the complete story. After the girls were all ready to go, and the boys were looking good too, it was time to head over to the local church for the ceremony. Even though it was really only a short journey, Aileen had booked a Tesla to take her over there – very cool!
Aileen and Niall had decided to get married at the local church near her parent’s house, and it’s always really great to see that family connection continue on, when it comes time for the kids to marry. Of course, we were on hand to photograph the whole thing and we even managed to grab some confetti shots afterwards which was smashing! Soon enough it was time for everyone to head over to the reception venue to continue the celebrations. We absolutely love photographing at Sherbrooke House, it’s one of our favourite wedding venues in Glasgow! There are loads of great little spots to take the newlyweds to for pictures, and of course we had to visit most of them with Aileen and Niall – it would have been rude not to!
By this point there were probably some rumbling tummies among the guests, not to mention our happy coupe, so it seemed a great time for everyone to heads inside for a well-earned meal. There was just the small, small matter of some speeches first though! It was lovely to hear all the speeches from Aileen’s Dad, Niall and his best man – and we’re absolutely sure we saw a couple of wee tears along the way – between all the laughs that is!
Now that everybody was fed, and all the formalities were out of the way, the party could really get started! Aileen and Niall had booked a band for the evening’s entertainment, always a great choice we feel! The assembled guests seemed to agree as before long the dancefloor was jam packed with many bodies throwing many shapes!
