ELIZABETH & KEVIN’s AWESOME WEDDING AT ORAN MOR

Oran Mor – Glasgow
16/04/2022
What an awesome day we had with Elizabeth, Kevin and the girls at the fabulous Oran Mor just a few weeks ago. Have a read of this blog post where we’ll tell you all about it!

We were heading straight to Oran Mor in the morning to capture all the guests arriving, and the hall being done up with all the days decorations and lovely treats for the congregation. We couldn’t help but notice that the venue was looking especially wonderful today! We reckon it must have been the fantastic was Elizabeth and Kevin had chosen to dress it up – we particularly loved the huge balloons running down the sides of the room!

One by one the guest started to filter in for the ceremony, and we were downstairs grabbing some pictures and video as it all happened. After taking some final pictures of Kevin, before he was a married man, we headed over to see Elizabeth at the Grosvenor Hotel, across the road. As there so often is on a wedding day, there were some last-minute panics, as a button had come off Elizabeth’s dress! Not to worry though, for the team at Oran Mor it’s all part of the service – they had the sowing kit out, and in no time, things were back on track 🙂

The ceremony was really lovely, with the girls involved throughout and it was great to see it as a really family event. We especially loved when Mum, Dad and the girls were all there doing the handfasting together. After a family walk down the aisle at the end, it was time for everyone to grab a drink and a nibble while we snapped away. Of course, we had to head outside with the newlyweds to get some nice shots of them and the girls. It’s a lovely area, right at the top of Byres Road, and there’s an abundance of opportunities right on the doorstop of Oran Mor. We got some lovely shots of Elizabeth and Kevin, and then we all headed back inside because it was time for the speeches!

The happy couple had a good array of family and friends on speeches duty, and everyone was on top form, entertaining the guests with tales from long friendships and some funny and a wee bit embarrassing tales from younger days too, as is traditional. Speaking of traditions, there was a first dance to come yet, and then of course a massive party! The dance floor was jumping from moment one on this night, and we were filming and taking loads pictures throughout. We had an awesome time capturing your big day guys, and we wish the whole family all the best for the years to come, we hope you love all the pictures and film, cause we sure had a great time making them for you!
