It seems like forever since we first met Jeanna and Dean, and we knew back then that we were going to love photographing their wedding day. They’re a really wonderful couple and absolutely made for each other which we found out when we went for a pre wedding shoot with them a while back.
They chose to tie the knot at Myres Castle, a new venue for us which is always nice. It’s an absolutely gorgeous setting for a wedding and when you’ve got a large number of your guests coming over from the USA, you really would be pushed to find a more idyllic setting. The castle and barnquee are just fabulous and the grounds are so beautiful. To top it all off, the sun shone all day and enabled Dean and Jeanna to hold their wedding ceremony in the gardens under the big old oak tree. To add an extra special touch to the proceedings, Dean’s grandpa conducted the ceremony. There was even the opportunity to have some fun with the lawn games – giant Jenga is always going to prove difficult.
After some lovely words from Jeanna’s mum, Dean’s dad, brother, and best man we were able to sneak outside with the happy couple to enjoy the early evening sunshine and explore the grounds to make some fantastic photos. It was such a beautiful evening and we could honestly have spent all evening taking wedding photos of this amazing couple.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_width_percent=”100″ gutter_size=”3″ overlay_alpha=”50″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ css_animation=”right-t-left” width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]It was soon time to get the evening’s celebrations underway, and after their first dance, Jeanna sang a beautiful song to Dean in what was a very touching moment. The band continued to keep the dance floor full ensuring everyone could show off their best shapes. They also treated Dean and Jeanna and all of their American guests to a good ol’ fashioned Scottish ceilidh – the perfect way to get the heart pumping and get everyone involved.
We had an absolutely amazing day and we can’t thank Dean and Jeanna enough for inviting us along to photograph such a wonderful occasion.
