Couple: Lauren & Martin

Date:  10th November 2018

Peak Autumn. It’s a very narrow window, somewhere between the second and third weeks of November, when all the leaves have turned on the trees and the days have really started to shorten, creating a wonderful quality of light.

That’s what I reckon anyway. It was during this magical, yet fleeting time of year when we were lucky enough to be up at Glenbervie House for the wedding of Lauren and Martin. Glenbervie is an awesome place to be at this time of year too. It’s set in expansive grounds full of all sorts of big trees, turning orange in the late autumn sun. As you can imagine, we were in our element!

Lauren and Martin are obviously pretty big Harry Potter fans, and they’d put together a fantastic theme for the day, with all the houses of Hogwarts represented. There were banners, and wands for the guests to take home, not to mention the table centrepieces, which were themed around the classes of wizardry in the fabled school of magic! The whole thing was amazingly impressive, and I think the guests agreed too!

But what Potter themed wedding would be complete, without a little real, actual magic to go along with it!? Billy Reid is an awesome magician, and we’ve been lucky enough to see him perform many times over the years. He’s always a massive hit with the guests, and us if we’re honest. It’s really difficult not to get swept away just watching him perform when we’re supposed to be taking the pictures!

Soon enough it was time for the evenings celebrations to begin. With all the formalities out of the way, this was a crowd that were really ready to let their hair down! This really was an absolutely amazing day for everyone involved, us included! Thanks again for having us along Lauren & Martin, it was an honour.
