Couple: Gillian + David

Date:  13th October 2019

Sherbrooke Castle is a lovely venue nestled in the heart of the Southside of Glasgow. A beautiful red sandstone castle, perfect inside and out makes it an ideal place to hold a wedding, it’s really simple to see why Gillian and David chose it as the place to share their big day with all of their friends and family.

We started the day a couple of hours before the ceremony by photographing Gillian and team bride as they prepared for the big day. Gillian helped put the finishing touches to the ceremony room as she had made all the details for the room so knew exactly how she wanted her vision to come together. The colour palette went perfectly with the reds and oranges of the season!

Meanwhile David and the boys were getting suited and booted before heading over to the Sherbrooke to welcome all the guests before the ceremony. Gillian and David had opted for a humanist ceremony, and Lenny Love (he assures us that’s his real name) conducted a beautiful and personal service which gave everyone a little insight into the happy couple’s journey together up to the big day.

The weather was a little touch and go but David and Gillian were absolute stars and braved the rain to head outside to get some beautiful wedding photos of just the two of them enjoying some time together.

Back inside we heard from Gillian’s dad, David, and David’s best man many tales from Gillian and David’s lives which provided plenty of chuckles for all of their friends and family.

After dinner, all that was left to do was dance off some of that delicious wedding dinner. The wedding band the newlyweds had hired were superb and got everyone up to celebrate their first dance as a married couple before blasting out tune after tune to ensure the dance floor was kept jumping all night. Perfect!
