Couple: Nicole + Stuart

Date:  17th August 2019

It’s been a good wee while since we last photographed a wedding at the Lynnhurst Hotel in Johnstone, so when we met with Nicole and Stuart and they told us all about their plans for the day we were really excited to go back.

Nicole started the day by getting ready in the Lynnhurst, while Stuart opted to prepare for the big day by getting kilted up at his parents’ house. It’s a great time of day as everyone is usually equal parts nervous and excited, and a cheeky wee glass of fizz or a measure of whisky certainly helps to ease those nerves.

The ceremony was held in St Bridget’s in Ballieston which is a lovely big old church, really photogenic and a very grand place to tie the knot. After a really nice ceremony and spending some time being congratulated by all of their friends and family it was time to jump in the car and head back to the Lynhhurst Hotel.

Nicole and Stuart share a love of Harry Potter so they decided the theme for their wedding would reflect the boy wizard. The decorations really set the tone and the huge LUMOS letters were fab.

Although it was a tad windy we were still able to get outside and enjoy some sunshine and get some photos of Nicole and Stuart enjoying some time together before everyone headed back inside for the speeches.

After dinner we were even able to squeeze in another quick couple of photos with the happy couple to make the most of the gorgeous early evening sunshine.

All that was left to do was to have a right good knees up, and the band pumped out awesome tune after awesome tune which ensured the dance floor was filled all night long. It’s always a whole heap of fun photographing wedding guests throwing shapes and letting loose.

Thanks so much for inviting us along to photograph your big day, guys. We loved every minute of it and loved creating these wedding photos for you!
