Harelaw Farm – Scotland
Nestled in the rolling Ayrshire hills is one of our favourite Scottish wedding venues to photograph, Harelaw Farm. The vibe here is unbeatable, with loads of different spaces you can use, and with a lot of accommodation on site, couple can create a day that has that family holiday feel that everyone loves. That’s why, when Brainna and Jamie needed to gather the troops from all over the globe for a big old celebration, they went with this spectacular farm venue.
The ceremony room at the farm is an old barn and we absolutely love it, it’s so amazing to photograph in! Apart from the rough stone walls and charming old drinking troughs, there’s a glass door right down at the end next to the couple, providing some great natural light which can be a bit of a rarity for ceremonies! Brianna and Jamie’s ceremony was just the ticket, with readings from fiends and plenty of humour throughout, you really got a sense of the story of their relationship thus far.
Afterwards, it was time to head out to the back garden, for some well-earned drinks and nibbles and to take in the late summer sun. Then possibly one of the highlights of the day was heading round the front to pet the lambs and big Heelan coos!
Of course, by this point everyone was getting a little hungry, but before dinner there was the small matter of some speeches first and all the speakers were fantastic!
To sum it all up, Harelaw Farm is a really special wedding venue, and this was one of our favourite weddings of the year to photograph. It’s got that rustic charm, jaw-dropping surroundings, and Brianna & Jamie were an amazing pair to work with, what more could we ask for!
