GILLIAN AND ROSS’S AMAZING WEDDING AT EDEN LEISURE VILLAGE!

Eden Leisure Village – Cumbernauld
17/07/2021
We’re back at Eden Leisure village again this week for another lovely wedding, with another lovely couple in Gillian and Ross!

It’s great to return so soon to one of our favourite venues! We really love the countryside setting of Eden Leisure Village, so we were very keen to further explore the many opportunities the setting presents.

Gillian was getting ready at her parents’ home in Newton Mearns, that morning. So we were off down there bright and early to capture all the morning’s happenings. Not long after I arrived the car arrived too, and it was driven by a familiar face! Despite looking slightly like a member of a well-known 70’s pop group (that may or may not have sung a song called YMCA!), it’s always awesome to see friends and family pitching in and offering to do things, it really makes everything feel more personal and unique on the day. Soon enough, it was time to head up to Eden for the ceremony, and lots of people from the neighbourhood had turned out to wish Gillian well on her wedding day which was lovely to see.

It was another bakingly hot day up at the Leisure Village, and there were sunglasses all around as the guests arrived for the ceremony. Gillian and Ross were getting hitched in the marquee which has fantastic views over the Cumbernauld hillsides from it’s many windows. Luckily there’s a fair few ones that open too, so everyone was nice and cool while the ceremony unfolded!

Afterwards, everyone was really keen to head outside and enjoy the sunshine while they had some nibbles and celebrated with the newlyweds. I was buzzing about grabbing loads of great shots of everyone mingling and chatting. Of course there were some family pictures to get done too, so we took some of the VIPs along to the field just next to the marquee, there’s a smashing view over the valley from here, perfect for the groups! When you’re at Eden Leisure Village you absolutely have to head out into the woods for a couple of shots too, the scenery up that way is simply fantastic – not to be missed! Gillian and Ross seemed to be up for it, so we all headed up there for a wee photoshoot before dinner and speeches.

As the night started to approach and the temperature started to drop just a little, people were ready to see a first dance, and let their hair down just a little! I buzzed about getting loads of shots of the first dance and the cheering guests and before I knew it, it was time to head home. What an awesome day, and what a fantastic couple! Thanks for having me along guys and congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. McGrath!
