GEMMA + DANIEL’S FANTASTIC WEDDING AT THE CORINTHIAN CLUB

The Corinthian Club – Glasgow
04/07/2021
City centre weddings are a favourite here at Top Table Photography, it’s amazing to work in amongst the hustle and bustle of the middle of Glasgow, and we love to shoot in some of the iconic locations too!

In the morning we both headed off to the boys and the girls houses separately. It’s always a great advantage to having two photographers on the day, and really adds a lot of variety to the photography. There was loads going on at the girls and boys houses, with everyone getting all dolled up with hair and makeup, along with the usual questions of how to actually put on a kilt from the boys! 🙂

Gemma and Daniel were getting married at the Corinthian Club, one of our favourite city centre venues. When we arrived, it wasn’t long before we started to see some familiar faces. You see a few years ago (all the way back in 2016!) we’d been lucky enough to photograph Daniel’s brother, Paul’s wedding at Brig o’ Doon. It’s always fantastic to be invited back to photograph the weddings of brothers and sisters down the years, and it’s really nice to see some friendly faces again on the day.

After a really lovely ceremony, all the guests headed upstairs for some drinks and nibbles on the terrace that overlooks the main room of the Corinthian. We figured there was just about enough time to nip the newlyweds out into the city centre for a bit of a shoot. It’s great using all the more urban locations of the city, and we’re always so surprised and heartened to see how accommodating the various drives are of our shooting activities – they’re all just a bunch of old romantics at heart! This time, our favourite part of the trip for sure was when we got to George square. We were actually just shooting in front of the city chambers when we noticed the most enormous flock of pigeons nearby. After some careful sneaking around we were able to convince them to fly right over Gemma and Daniel which made for a pretty dramatic shot!

Wow, that was loads of fun! After all that it was time for a wee bit of dinner, and of course some speeches! We loved hearing the story of Daniel and Gemma’s relationship from the speakers, not to mention a little bit of gentle ribbing too! What a great day all around, and loads of fun for us to photograph too! Thanks again for having us along Gemma and Daniel, we had an absolute ball!
