Couple: Kim + Dan

Date:  28th July 2018

Kim and Dan tied the knot a few short weeks ago in St Joseph’s church through in Stepps, but I’m getting ahead of myself, let’s start at the beginning.

We began the day with Kim and her bridesmaids and supporting cast, as they were getting ready for the big day. Make-up, hair styling and a glass or two of bubbly – is there any other way to prepare for a wedding day?!

We then quickly popped over the road to catch up with Dan and the boys as they were putting the finishing touches to their outfits while enjoying a cheeky wee beer. Will the laces on anybody’s brogues ever stay up on their kilt socks? I very seriously doubt it :)

It was time to move onto the aforementioned St Joseph’s for the formal part of the day. Kim and Dan tied the knot in front of their friends and family during a lovely ceremony before dashing off the Eden Leisure Village to get the celebrations underway.

We’d never been to Eden Leisure Village before, so when Kim and Dan asked us to photograph their big day we were delighted. It certainly didn’t disappoint, it’s an amazing wedding venue with such a cool, rustic, laid-back vibe with stunning surroundings, which are absolutely ideal for making some great wedding photographs.

There were drinks and nibbles in the big tepee before heading into the main marquee for speeches and dinner. The speeches were a fab mix of touching and funny – Gary (Kim’s dad), Dan, and Chris (his brother) kept the whole room laughing till it was time for dinner.

Into the evening and the boozy ice cream van that Kim and Dan had hired arrived to serve all the guests a range of cocktails and liquor-laced slushies. It was time to hit the dance floor; and Dan and Kim along with all of their friends and family were throwing shapes all night, keeping the party going into the wee small hours.

It was an absolute delight photographing your big day, Kim and Dan, thanks so much for inviting us along. We hope you love this mini movie as much as we enjoyed making it for you!
