Couple: Louise + Michael

Venue: Culzean Castle.

Date:  26th August 2018

Michael and Louise got married a few short weeks ago at Culzean Castle. It may be a massive castle, but it’s amazingly intimate and private for a wedding – not to mention the grounds provide so many wonderful opportunities for gorgeous wedding photographs.

We kicked off the day in the traditional manner by photographing both Michael and Louise as they prepared themselves for the big day ahead. We always love being at a wedding nice and early to capture everything that goes into getting ready for the day, it’s great to be able to photograph the little moments as the joy and nerves begin to build.

In no time at all it was time to move downstairs to the round room for the ceremony. This is obviously the most formal (and legally binding) part of the day but it’s always really nice to watch a couple pledge their vows to one another as they embark on the next stage of their journey together.

After a really lovely ceremony, everyone headed back down to the armoury for a cheeky wee glass of fizz and to congratulate the new Mr and Mrs Morran. We always like to take a big group photograph of all the guests, and the confetti which Louise and Michael had brought along provided the perfect splash of colour to the final shot.

Onto speeches o’clock and we were treated to a lovely mix of heartfelt and rib-tickling anecdotes from throughout Michael and Louise’s lives – both together and before they met. One thing that was blatantly obvious is that these guys are perfect for one another.

The dance floor provided the perfect space to burn off a few calories after a delicious dinner, and the band most certainly had the floor jumping all night. Great tunes and a wonderful atmosphere, it was the only way to top off a truly stellar wedding day.

Thanks so much for inviting us along to photograph your wedding guys, we’re so happy we got to be there to witness your big day and we hope you love these photos as much as we enjoyed capturing them for you!
