Couple: Lisa + Richard

Venue: Culcreuch Castle.

Date:  20th April 2019

We’d already spent some time with Lisa and Richard before their big day when we met up with them at Pollok Park for their pre wedding photography shoot, so we knew we were in for a great, relaxed wedding day.

Lisa was getting ready in the drawing room at Culcreuch Castle and Richard was staying in one of the lodges. We always enjoy getting there nice and early in the morning so we can blend into the background and capture all the preparations and excitement as the morning unfolds.

Richard and Lisa had opted for a Humanist ceremony which perfectly suited the relaxed and loving nature of the day. It’s always really nice to see a couple quite literally tying the knot. Sharing a whisky from the Quaich is a lovely tradition too, especially so as they had a lovely bottle on Glengoyne 17 to share.

Outside for the drinks reception and a rare sunny day meant Lisa had a chance to rock her wedding sunglasses as we photographed the traditional family group photos. We were also able to take a quick wander around the grounds of the castle to get some wedding photos of Richard and Lisa before we headed in for the speeches.

A wedding in a Scottish castle calls for a ceilidh, there’s no better way to burn off dinner and have a blast at the same time.

Lisa had arranged for a secret firework show by 21CC. It was a total surprise for Richard (and all the other guests) and it was simply stunning – such a cool display to witness.

All that was left for the happy couple was to head back into the warmth and dance the night away with their friends and family.

We can’t thank you enough for choosing us to be your wedding photographers, Richard and Lisa, it was such a pleasure to capture all the big and little moments throughout your day :)
