Couple: Laura + Ciaran

Venue: Brig O' Doon

Date: 8th August 2019

It was great to be back at Brig O’ Doon again, one of our favourite venues in Ayrshire, and even better when we’re photographing such a lovely couple as Laura and Ciaran!

Laura and Ciaran had decided to go for a Catholic Ceremony, in their local chapel, which is always great as it gives the occasion the gravity and ceremony it deserves. After a lovely ceremony and mass, and some hugging and laughing in the grounds of the chapel afterwards, we all headed down the motorway to Brig O’ Doon for the wedding reception, and a big old knees-up!

We’re lucky enough to photograph at many great venues across Scotland, but Brig O’ Doon really is a gem. From the grand main hall where the meal and reception happen, to the stunning grounds and the very famous bridge, this place has loads to get us excited! After everyone was nice and settled in the garden, there was a very special canine visitor for the happy couple! Honestly, you should have seen the look on Laura’s face when her four-legged pal turned up – priceless!

Soon enough though, it was time to head into the spectacular main hall for dinner. But before that of course there had to be a few speeches to mark the occasion! Everyone did a fantastic job when it was their turn to speak, with equal parts humour and touching tributes to the new Mr and Mrs.

After dinner, the light was looking fantastic, so we decided to nip out with Laura and Ciaran to grab a few romantic shots of the newlyweds. There’s a fantastic little bit of the river, just across the road from the hotel that we discovered a while ago, and it just seems to trap the late sunshine perfectly! Laura and Ciaran were absolute naturals in front of the camera, so we had loads of great shots for them in no time – well done guys!

Wow, such a fantastic day, and still time for the dancing! Our happy couple had chosen Ernest for their evening’s entertainment, a fantastic choice in our opinion! There’s guys really know how to bring the party, and as is usual when they are in attendance, the dance-floor was jam packed from the outset! We quickly filled our memory cards with loads of fun shots of all the guests dancing and having a great time before we slipped out the door and let the fun continue into the wee small hours. Great day. Even Greater couple. Top Table out!
