Couple: Gordon + Claire

Venue: The Bothy, Glasgow & The Torrance, East Kilbride.

Date:  9th November 2018

Claire and Gordon decided to do things a little bit differently when they tied the knot a few weeks ago. They held an intimate ceremony for their closest friends and family in the Bothy in Glasgow, before moving onto the Torrance in East Kilbride for the big party.

The private dining room (the Scullery) in the Bothy is located upstairs and has a totally unique vibe for a wedding. It’s really so snug and totally charming, and the big ol’ table in the middle helps finish off the rustic feel. Claire and Gordon had asked Claire Digance, A.K.A Claire the Humanist, to conduct their ceremony. A fine choice it was too, as the ceremony struck all the right notes of love and celebration, with a healthy portion of laughter thrown in to top it off.

Afterwards, we utilised the grounds outside the Bothy for the traditional, family photographs before whisking Claire and Gordon over to the Botanic Gardens for some photographs of them as a newly married couple. It’s always a pleasure to work in the Botanics as there are so many options around the gardens as well as inside the Kibble Palace. This time of year is simply amazing too, as the colours in the trees are really popping.

Back over to the Bothy for the speeches and we got to hear a great mixture of stories from Claire and Gordon’s lives, and if you just listen to the little snippet from Gordon’s speech in the mini-movie it’s clear to see what a great relationship they have.

After dinner, it was onto the Torrance hotel for the rest of the party and the evening guests were welcomed by Iain from piping services Scotland. After a quick welcome drink in the bar, it was time to head upstairs to dance the night away, and that is most certainly what Claire and Gordon (and their guests) did – shape city!

Thanks so much for having us along to your little-big day Claire and Gordon, it was a total pleasure capturing these photographs for you, we had such a fab time.
