CHARLI AND JACK’S SMASHING WEDDING!

Airth Castle

After many, many delays we were thrilled to be photographing the wedding of Charli and Jack at Airth Castle!

With all the delays for everyone it’s been really great to be back photographing all the weddings that we’ve missed over the last year or so. We’ve certainly got some catching up to do, so we’d better get cracking! After all the waiting around for this day to finally come, when it did, we were blessed with some absolutely awesome weather. Yes, the sun truly had it’s hat on for Charli and Jacks big day, and we’d be lying if we said we didn’t see a couple of sunburned shoulders and noses here and there as the day went on 🙂

The ceremony was held in the main castle. It’s a fantastic building, and a fittingly grand surrounding for a wedding ceremony. Charli and Jack had decided to go for a Humanist celebration – always an awesome chose we reckon, as it blends the perfect amount of solemnity and levity, just right for the occasion! Speaking of things that are just right for a big occasion, it was wonderful to see the venerable Hugh after a while off, still lending the day a good dose of ceremony and class!

Once the ceremony was finished, we headed outside with the new Mr and Mrs to grab all their family shots in front of the castle, not to mention some portraits with baby Jessica and a very proud mum and dad! The sun was still beating down when we decided to go for a little stroll with Charli and Jack to grab some nice romantic shots of the two of them. There are some lovely wee bits around the grounds of Airth Castle, and it really is one of our favourite venues for the couples shoot.

After all that exertion it seemed like everyone was about ready to grab something to eat, but not before the small matter of some speeches! Everyone did a great job, with the final speech being particularly boozy, and hilarious! Once dinner was finished it was time for the first dance. It’s really nice to see this time of the day making a return, it’s really felt like something is missing without that special first dance of the newlyweds. Of course, it wouldn’t be Top Table Photography if we didn’t make it outside for a wee evening shot of the castle – we’ve always got one last trick up our sleeves!
