Couple: Dionne & John

Venue: Glasgow University & The Corinthian Club

Date:  7th November 2020

Ah, autumn days are upon us! We seriously love photographing weddings when the leaves on the trees are turning, and what better place than the majestic Glasgow University, and what better couple than the lovely Dionne & John!

It’s so great to be out photographing weddings again, and after 8 months on the bench, we’ve been raring to get out there and use our cameras again! We’ve really missed the buzz you get at the girls and guys houses in the mornings, with everyone rushing around getting hair and makeup done (or trying to figure out the correct way to tie the laces of their kilt shoes)! Things were suitably busy at both John and Dionne’s houses in the morning you’ll be happy to hear, and we were in our element grabbing loads of great shots of all the goings on.

Soon enough the hour was upon us, and it was time to head down to the wonderful Glasgow University Chapel for the main event. We always have a fantastic time working at the university, it’s just so grand inside that wherever you point your camera is a great shot, it makes our jobs so easy!

After a really lovely and touching ceremony, where the humanist told the story of Dionne and John’s relationship thus far, we all headed outside into the autumn sunshine for some pictures. Of course, we made sure to get some shots of all the guests and families to mark the occasion, but afterwards we had an absolute ball going for a tour of the Uni with the happy couple! With the leaves on the trees rocking a huge range of colours, and that special low sunshine that you only get around this time of year, lovely!

Once we’d got a whole load of excellent pictures and video of Dionne and John, it was time for the short ride to the Merchant City where they had booked in to the Corinthian Club for dinner and speeches. What a grand old building this is, and the perfect location to celebrate a wedding, if we do say so ourselves! After some heartfelt and very funny speeches, we just had to grab a couple more shots of the newlyweds in the club, or we wouldn’t have been doing justice to the place!

All that remains now is to say thank you once again Dionne and John! We had an awesome time photographing your wedding, and we hope you enjoy the pictures for many years to come!
