Couple: Kirsty + Andrew

Venue: Blythswood Hotel, Glasgow

Date:  19h May 2018

What a fantastic day we had with Kirsty and Andrew just a couple of weeks ago!

Ever since our pre-wedding shoot with this pair, we knew it was going to be a day to remember! They were just really relaxed in front of the camera and also had plenty of their own ideas for pictures. We really dig it when couples bring their own ideas with them to a photo shoot, as we just know it’ll mean they love the final result even more!

For the day itself we had an early start, at a hairdressers in Hyndland. One of our main objectives is to capture as much of the day as possible, just so we can really tell the complete story, so going along for a few shots in the morning is really helpful. After the girls got their hair done (and had a wee cheeky glass of prosecco!) it was off to the venue for the days celebrations, the beautiful and super-chic Blythswood Hotel.

The weather for the big day was awesome, meaning sunglasses were required, and the girls had got special ones just for the occasion, with Kirsty even having some custom ‘bride’ glasses. You know, just in case anyone was in doubt as to who the beautiful lady in the stunning white dress was! We got some awesome shots around Blythswood Square and the surrounding areas of the city centre, and even managed to get some more moody pictures in one of the infamous back lanes of Glasgow.

After the photo-shoot, it was soon time for the wedding breakfast, but not before everyone’s favourite part of the day – the speeches! Everyone did a fantastic job, and Kirsty & Andrew even saved a wee extra speech for the evening guests. This was a really nice touch that we’ve never seen before.

After the final speech of the evening, dancing time was soon upon us! Kirst and Andrew’s first dance was ‘you and me song’ by the Wannadies. Again, we’ve never heard this as a first dance before, but it worked really well and added a bit of fun for everyone too! When it was time for the guests to join in they didn’t disappoint, and the floor was jamming right up to the time when we left. So all that was left to do was to say bye bye to the newlyweds, and head home to back up all the smashing pictures we’d taken throughout the day!

Thanks again for having us along to your fantastic day!
